claireI have been working with animals for over 10 years and have always had a keen interest in helping people sort out their problem dogs.

I started working with animals at the age of 16 when I worked at a kennels during holidays from college and university. Here I learnt a lot about different breeds, their temperament and how to handle certain types of dogs, including nervous, aggressive and hyperactive.

After leaving school I went to Reaseheath college in Nantwich, Cheshire. It was here I recognised my interest in canine behaviour and after receiving a National Diploma in Animal Care I went on to further study.

In 2003 I went to Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire and gained a Foundation Degree in Animal Behaviour and Management. I then furthered this training and gained an Honours Degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training.

Dog Training is an ever evolving area and because of this I am always studying and participating in seminars and courses, the following are some of the courses I have attended since leaving university and the dates I attended them:-

Good Citizen Dog Scheme Workshop - October 07

Dog Law with Trevor Cooper - April 08

Handling Skills with Turid Rugaas - May 08

Canine Aggression 4 day workshop with John Rodgerson - Nov 09

A weekend with Steven R. Lindsay- Nov 10

Agility training for trainers with Kim Hunt- March 11

After all this studying I am keen to share my knowledge and experience with pet owners and help them with their problem pets. Currently I run puppy classes, advanced training classes, fun agility classes and puppy parties for local vets as well as one to one home training and behaviour consultations.
